What is CCVS?

The Community Crime Victim Services (CCVS) grant program was created by the Colorado General Assembly through House Bill 18-1409. This project serves to provide a community-based, public health approach that can supplement current victims’ services. The purpose of this project is to reach populations of crime victims that are hard to reach through current victims’ services, particularly historically underserved populations, namely people of color, men, and young adults and to reduce the risk of repeat victimization.

The Latino Coalition for Community Leadership (LCCL) acts as the community oriented intermediary for the Community Crime Victim Services (CCVS) program. The Community Crime Victim Services Community Impact Report highlights CCVS’ achievements since the program’s inception in 2018. In addition to featuring program data, service model innovations, and Community Partner voices, this report seeks to illustrate the instrumental role that culturally relevant, community-based services to crime survivors play in improving the health and wellness for historically underserved populations in Colorado communities.
