Community Partners are best positioned to do the work
The CCVS project funds a community-based, public health approach that broadens the current victim services model and prioritizes those victims who have been historically underserved or those who are unlikely to seek services under the current model. Organizations are funded to implement evidence-based or evidence-informed, culturally appropriate strategies to reduce repeat victimization. Projects include therapy, case management, and support for victims of domestic violence. Community Partners also support victims who identify as male, LGBTQ, and people of color, as well as connection to wrap-around support services.
